Our Process
From the First Conversations to Ongoing Guidance
Some clients come to us with a 401(k) rollover. Others want to know whether they have enough income to retire, how to plan for their family, or what to do with accounts they do not fully understand. Wherever the conversation starts, our process helps us organize the details together and identify your next steps.
Step 1: Discovery
The first meeting gives us a chance to understand what brought you in, where you stand, what’s important to you, and what you want to accomplish. You do not need to have everything figured out. Bring your statements, paperwork, questions, ideas, and concerns, and we will begin sorting through them together.
Step 2: Financial Plan Meeting
After we review your information, we meet to present the financial plan and explain the recommendations. We will walk through your accounts, retirement income needs, rollover options, insurance considerations, tax factors, and other relevant details so you understand how each piece fits into the bigger picture.
Step 3: Review & Revise Meetings
Your needs can change as retirement gets closer, family priorities shift, markets move, or new questions come up. In Review and Revise Meetings, we revisit your plan, update assumptions, and make adjustments so your financial decisions stay aligned with your current life and long-term goals.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Process
Here are a few common questions people ask before scheduling a first meeting with FNB Wealth Management.
The first meeting is focused on discovery. We learn about your goals, current accounts, financial questions, family priorities, and any decisions you are trying to make. It is also a chance for you to ask how we work and whether our approach feels like the right fit.
Helpful documents may include investment statements, 401(k) or retirement plan information, pension details, insurance policies, Social Security estimates, tax information, estate documents, and any paperwork related to a rollover or major financial decision.
The process typically begins with a discovery meeting, followed by a financial plan meeting where we walk through recommendations and next steps. From there, we continue with periodic Review and Revise Meetings, as your plan, accounts, and life change.
Yes. We can help you review your 401(k), profit-sharing plan, pension option, or rollover paperwork and explain how the available choices may fit into your broader retirement income and investment strategy.
After your plan or recommendations are created, we schedule and meet for periodic reviews. Depending on your situation and needs, this may be on an annual or semi-annual basis, or when life events or changes arise. These reviews help us update the plan, revisit assumptions, and adjust your strategy as your goals, income needs, family, and market conditions change.
